Xmas Light Switch On 2009

On Saturday 5th December at 5pm head down to the central plaza of the Theatre District for our annual Chrismtas event.  This year it promises to be incredible as we have a very special guest to switch our lights on and will also be joined by lots of those wonderful funny and very friendly local mascots!!! 

The Milton Keynes City Orchestra will again provide the music and the Faith Dimensions choir will lead us in carols .. for all to sing along to and enjoy.

The Emmetts are kindly bringing down a selection of childrens rides and these can be enjoyed free of charge, with donations to Spinal Injuries http://www.spinal.co.uk/a-01.aspx and also Ashley Hyde, a young local lad fighting a rare cancer and needing to raise funds for pioneering treatment,  http://www.ashleysfund.org.uk .  We will also be holding additional fund raising activities including a raffle with fantastic prizes such as theatre tickets, a fitness bike donated by Energie Fitness and free meals at Theatre District restaurants.

The local venues wil be providing complimentary refreshments, though donations would be welcomed and split between our two worthwhile causes.

The light switch on will take place between 5.30 and 6pm, though activities will continue from 5pm until around 6.30pm.
